Case Study: Youtube Intro

Case Study Overview

This Case Study focuses on a project where I had to create an intro video for my Youtube channel. Using Adobe After Effects, I had to create an 8 second clip of unique assets, then I had to the sound of music being played in the background. For the process in creating a flow for my assets, I decided that it would be easier for me to find the track I was going to use for my video. I didn’t want to buy a song online, so I used Garage Band to help create a song to use for my video. I wanted to create something up beat, new, and futuristic, because it’s the kind of tune that promotes my aesthetic.

Brand Intro Assets

Just like the “Diorama” project, my assets had to be made in Adobe Illustrator and then brought in Adobe After Effects that they can be brought in good quality.  I decided to utilize the background I usually use for my paper/Background based assignments, and create the illusion that they’re falling apart as the video progresses. I decided to shift the color of each pattern as the next beat hits. While this is going on, I wanted different images of my work scattered throughout the backgrounds of the video, so that as the pieces fall apart, the work is revealed.
